A new year is coming. Lots of us have determined that we are retooling the bod, shaking up the diet and waving bye-bye to adipose tissue. But how? That is the $70 million dollar question. Says one pundit, “smoothies.” Why? Because they are chock-full of nutrition. Protein, fiber, healthy fats all promote weight loss. Smoothies have these. According to dietary wisdom the big three nutrients fill the body up and prevent hunger too. Of the three macronutrients, protein gets the biggest high five, because it does more than satiate. It also rebuilds muscle. Keep your smoothies natural. No added glucose. Go for about 300 calories and 20 carbs per smoothie serving. Get creative with your fruits and veggies. Try adding Greek yoghurt too. Creamy!!
