Hello, and good morning. I want to welcome you to the Body By Patrick podcast. My name is Patrick Ocheni. What I want to do today real quickly is share with you three things that I’m really, really thankful for.
Sometimes in life, we tend to focus on things we do not have as opposed to showing gratitude for the things that we do have in our lives.
The first thing is, first and foremost, I want to thank God for the breath of life.
Every day I wake up and I can speak, see, hear, move my arms, be with my family and friends, and walk out the door and come back home.
I am thankful, because there are people that go to bed at night and do not wake up the next day.
So, the first and foremost thing I’m thankful for is that, I am above ground today.
The second thing I’m thankful for is the wonderful, wonderful, wonderful family that God has blessed me with: My wife, my awesome wife that has been with me through thick and thin, and my wonderful, wonderful children.
I am super thankful for them.
And then, I’m thankful for my friends. I don’t have a lot of friends, but the close friends that I do have, I’m super, super thankful for them.
Finally, I am thankful for the fact that I’m able to do what I love to do.
I mean, some of you might not know this story, but years ago I left a job that I thought was not fulfilling, that was not in alignment with my authentic self.
I left that job on a leap of faith, not knowing what was going to happen.
But, here I am today: I’m doing something I love every single day. I love coming to work as a personal trainer and impacting lives in a positive way.
And I’m so grateful, so grateful for all the lives I’ve been able to impact in a positive way and that I also have awesome, awesome, awesome clients that I work with.
I mean, it’s one thing to be a personal trainer, but it’s another thing to have clients that you actually do appreciate spending time with because you know, there’s a reason why it’s called personal training.
So, those are the three main things I am super thankful for today: The breath of life, my wife and kids, having friends, and the opportunity to live my dream of helping people achieve a better version of themselves every single day.
So, today guys, I want you to reflect and count all the blessings in your life.
Instead of focusing on things that you do not have, reflect and be grateful and be thankful for all the things that you have been blessed with because, trust and believe, there are people who are in a worse situation than you’re in.
You might think you’re struggling right now but, guess what, the fact that you have a struggle means you’re still alive.
